Junior Achievement of Washington

inspires and prepares young people to succeed in a rapidly changing, global economy.

Read the news for an hour and you will find a consistent theme: economic and workplace change is happening at a scale never experienced before. At the same time, our children are ill-prepared to enter college and the workforce.

JA is turning the tide and helping young people face the challenges of the real world. JA is the largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Junior Achievement’s kindergarten through grade 12 programs—in the core content areas of work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy—ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century.

Who makes Junior Achievement work?

Junior Achievement works thanks to a collaborative effort between JA volunteers, donors, educators, Board of Directors, and staff. Each plays an integral part in fostering student success and helping young people thrive in our rapidly changing world.

JA volunteers

bring real-world experience and relationships to the table. It takes more than 5,500 volunteers to reach the more than 120,000 students in Washington and in Northern Idaho served annually by JA of Washington.

JA educators

have a clear vision for the future success of their students, and they rely on JA to help them achieve that vision. Over 3,000 teachers bring JA into their classrooms each year, and are the linchpins in serving students and school systems.
Bring our programs to your classroom

JA donors

make our programs possible. Without our generous supporters, JA could not meet the growing demand for our high-impact programs.
Support JA

JA staff

have the joy and honor of watching our young people become prepared for college and careers. Our staff helps our volunteers, donors, and educators do their work as we all look forward to a brighter future.
