Regional Program Manager, Whatcom / Island / Skagit Area

Location: Remote, home based position in Whatcom or Skagit County, WA

The Regional Program Manager for Whatcom, Island, San Juan and Skagit Counties (WIS) is responsible for the implementation and management of all in-school JA programs within the WIS region. This includes oversight of program quality and expansion, uncovering and maintaining strong school relations and verification of program completion. The Regional Program Manager will be responsible for the recruitment, training, and retention of volunteers to teach the JA programs, as well as consistent recognition of their service.

Regional Director, South Sound

Location: Auburn

The Regional Director is the business development representative and program manager for the South Sound region of JA of Washington. The Regional Director manages and oversees the overall operation of Junior Achievement of Washington programs and activities within that region. This position provides leadership to the Junior Achievement of Washington’s development function to secure revenue and strengthen our work throughout the South Sound, Tacoma, and the surrounding areas. This position is based at our JA World facility in Auburn, Washington. This position is part of the statewide Development team and reports to the Senior Vice President of Development.

Regional Program Manager, Central Washington

​Location: Yakima

The Regional Program Manager, Central Washington is responsible for the implementation and management of all in-school JA programs within the Central Washington region. This includes oversight of program quality and expansion, maintaining strong school relations and verification of program completion. The Regional Program Manager will be responsible for the recruitment, training, and retention of volunteers to teach the JA programs, as well as for recognition of their service. This position is responsible for the management and maintenance of data for the database system in programs. The Regional Program Manager will also be responsible for expanding community awareness of programs, identifying additional sources for volunteer recruitment and funding opportunities. In addition, the Regional Program Manager will market Capstone programs to schools and businesses and support new school and student participation in JA Capstone programs.

JA World Greeter - Office Assistant (Volunteer)

Location: Auburn

The JA World Greeter and Office Assistant serves as a friendly face for visitors and callers to JA World. To fulfill this volunteer role, all that is needed is a cheerful disposition, clear communication skills, and basic computer skills. Your shift will involve greeting visitors and students as they enter our facility, and assisting our JA Finance Park and JA BizTown Managers and our Office Manager, with a variety of tasks on and off the computer. Hours are approximately 8:30am-12:30pm. A commitment to work twice a week or more is preferred, during the school year. Days of the week will vary according to school schedules. A background check will be conducted prior to hiring for this volunteer position.

Special Events Intern

Location: Seattle or Auburn

The Special Events Intern is a vital part of the events team in organizing and planning all JA fundraising events, including but not limited to auctions, golf classics, bowling events and other fundraisers. This position will build on the success and track record of well-branded events, as well as assist in the cultivation of new supporters to the organization. A successful candidate will have strong relationship-building, organizational and computer skills.
