JA Snohomish County

About JA in Snohomish County

Junior Achievement in the Snohomish County area of Washington State (JA Sno) launched its very first programs in 1953. Currently, nearly 15,000 students are served annually by JA Snohomish, offering traditional in-school programs in grades K-12, and JA Job Shadows. Students in the Snohomish area also have the opportunity to experience JA highest impact programs, JA BizTown and JA Finance Park, by participating in the JA Finance Park mobile unit in Bellingham, or by taking a field trip to JA World in Auburn.

Volunteering for JA Snohomish

Each year, JA Sno relies upon hundreds of volunteers to bring its programs to local area school students. The dynamic interaction between the volunteer and the students provides active learning and brings theory to life.

Are you qualified to volunteer in a classroom? Yes! JA volunteers come from all walks of life, including valued employees, retirees, parents and college students. All you need is a desire to be an inspirational role model, along with the ability to communicate, motivate, and create enthusiasm. Volunteers are also required to sign a Volunteer Conduct Standards form. Training in person and/or online is provided.
