Volunteering for JA WIS

Each year, JA WIS relies upon hundreds of volunteers to bring its programs to local area school students. The dynamic interaction between the volunteer and the students provides active learning and brings theory to life.

Are you qualified to volunteer in a classroom? Yes! JA volunteers come from all walks of life, including valued employees, retirees, parents and college students. All you need is a desire to be an inspirational role model, along with the ability to communicate, motivate, and create enthusiasm. Volunteers are also required to sign a Volunteer Conduct Standards form. Training in person and/or online is provided.
