What This Program Teaches:
Financial Literacy (50%)
JA Titan challenges students to apply their knowledge of business as they compete online in the highly competitive industry of the fictional Holo-Generator.
Students enter decisions about price, production, marketing, capital investment, and research and development. The impact of their decisions will lead to the success or failure of each Holo-Generator company.
The classroom-based version of JA Titan offers lesson plans, administrator control, and economic scenarios. It is available only through your local office. However, portions of the site are available to the general public here.
JA Titan includes a program kit containing seven instructional activities and a computer simulation. It is recommended for students in grades 9-12.
All JA programs are designed to support the skills and competencies identified by the Partnership for 21st Century Skills. All JA programs correlate to state standards in social studies, English, and mathematics, and to Common Core State Standards.
