The middle grade programs build on the three pathways (Financial Literacy; Career & Work Readiness, Entrepenurship) the students learned in JA’s elementary school curriculum and help pre-teens make decisions on how to best prepare for their educational and professional future. The programs supplement standard social studies curricula and develop communication skills that are essential to success in the business world. JA Economics for Success® 

Available for virtual classrooms now! Lays bare for students the heart of a successful economic life: choosing the right career and managing money properly. Students will be able to explore their skills, interests, values, and the world of work to make informed education, career, and life decisions. The program will also expand their knowledge of personal finance so they can apply strong financial management skills regardless of their income. JA Global Marketplace® 

Available for virtual classrooms now! Introduces students to the global marketplace and the ways in which countries buy and sell from each other. With completion of this program, students will gain an understanding of producers and consumers in the interconnected global market. (Grades 6-8; Financial Literacy; Career & Work Readiness)

JA It’s My Business® 

Available for virtual classrooms now! Provides students an opportunity to experience the initial steps necessary to start a business. New program content provides an authentic entrepreneurial experience for students, with each session building up to a product-pitch competition. (Grades 6-8; Entrepreneurship)

JA It’s My Future® 

Available for virtual classrooms now! Offers middle school students practical information to help prepare them for the working world. Students will develop the personal-branding and job-hunting skills needed to earn a job. (Grades 6-8; Career & Work Readiness)

JA Excellence Through Ethics® 

Available for virtual classrooms now! Students will learn the importance of ethics and ethical decision-making and how ethical and unethical choices affect everyone in a community. (Grades 6-12; Career & Work Readiness)

JA BizTown® 

Virtual platform available now! Combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town. This popular program allows students to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor. JA Finance Park® 

Virtual platform available now! A month-long program that introduces students to personal financial planning and career exploration. At the culmination of this teacher-led program, students visit JA Finance Park, a realistic on-site or virtual community, to put into practice what they’ve learned by developing and committing to a personal budget. (Grades 7-12; Financial Literacy; Career & Work Readiness, Entrepenurship)

Virtual JA Career Speaker 

Learning about different career paths and fields of work is an important part of forging a student’s future. Our videos are all volunteer-submitted and come from all walks of career life. These videos help students think about the work they might like to do in the future and what steps they can take now in school to achieve their career goals. (Career & Work Readiness)

Lunch With Leaders Recordings

JAWA Lunch With Leaders brings together Washington state leaders and K-12 students in a no-cost, virtual format to inspire students and prepare them for a stronger tomorrow! Leaders share their stories and discuss the skills and qualities necessary to succeed in their field and give advice on how to plan for a rewarding future. (Career & Work Readiness)
